Why the Medical Pedicure is the Next Big Thing in Wellness

Bare feet

Want to know the next big thing in wellness? Putting your best foot forward! That’s right, foot care. Many people pay little attention to their feet when in actual fact they are our foundation.

Foot care encompasses a broad range of services, however it’s the medical grade pedicure that has become the latest trend. Why? Because people are realising that the average pedicure no longer cuts it (no pun intended)!

Looking after your feet is the next level of self-care. Many trendsetters in Europe and the US have already embraced foot care that is delivered in a healthy, hygienic and safe way. People now want a high grade, medical service provided by trusted professionals. These professionals are podiatrists.

Not only will we leave your feet feeling great, we have the knowledge, training and skills to give you the best care, helping you get the most out of your feet day in, day out.

Whilst podiatrists have always offered this treatment, I’ve recently noticed many more people are seeking out the medical grade pedicure. Before too long everyone will be doing it. Trust us!

For those who are unsure what a medical grade pedicure is, it involves cutting the toenails correctly (to prevent ingrown nails) and removing the hard, dead skin that builds up. We do all of this using sterile instruments, which means you are not at risk of infection – something that can occur at nail salons where they use the same equipment from one person to the next. We do not apply polish to the toenails, however you may find yourself wanting to go polish free…that’s how good your feet will look!

With summer just around the corner, it’s a great time to start making your feet a priority. If you want to find out more or make an appointment get in touch. Integrated Podiatry Clinic will be practicing from Studio PP on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 4th October.
