The Wellness Calendar at Peninsula Hot Springs Launches

As part of my role as the Wellness Ambassador for Peninsula Hot Springs it’s a tough part of my job to ‘road test’, contribute and help build on the endless healthy activities on offer at the serene facility. The recent launch of the ‘Wellness Calendar was no exception. The Wellness Calendar adds a whole host of new experiences at Peninsula Hot Springs including yoga, meditation, global bathing experiences, plus nutrition talks and mental health workshops. I was delighted to help host such a brilliant day with beautiful, inspiring, hardworking women all celebrating our health and immersing ourselves into the new calendar’s offerings.

Everyone was welcomed with healthy and healing raw treats and herbal teas on arrival followed by a chat about all things health, healing and our backgrounds in wellness with Managing Director of PHS Brooke Ramage, Theme Rains, the founder of Synthesis organics (the new organic skincare range now used at PHS) and myself (the newly appointed wellness ambassador for PHS).

We were then led onto the lawn where we were treated to a dynamic and fun vinyasa yoga class in the sunshine with local yogi Sonja from Honestly Yoga.

That was enough to work up our appetites and give us a good excuse to quality test the organic, seasonal fresh lunch spread in the Spa Dreaming Centre Café – I highly recommend the roasted salmon with crispy skin on a pea and lemon risotto, it’s absolutely to die for and I eat it each time I visit! #glutenfree #foodporn #cleaneating

Next up it was an afternoon immersed in the healing mineral hot springs. We took everyone on a global bathing journey including a floating meditation, a reflexology walk and a traditional Moroccan hamam experience. If we weren’t feeling detoxified, relaxed and rejuvenated enough, we were then treated to the new Synthesis organic bio active facial. We were the first group to experience the new range of skincare and the whole Synthesis ‘experience’ which includes healing techniques, meditation and essential oil practices throughout. A truly dreamy experience and these facial will now become a regular element of my self-care toolkit and wellness practice. My skin has been glowing ever since!

It was a truly inspired and uplifting day immersed in nature and giving back to ourselves and our own health. It’s ironic that I work in the health and wellness industry but still need to be reminded constantly that we need to give back and love ourselves, otherwise we can’t help and love others.

The new Wellness Calendar gives us all a great excuse to regularly return to the Hot Springs. Let’s mark our diaries and prioritize our health and self-care rituals for the new year already!

Director & Founder

Steph is the founder and director of Premium Performance training method and owner and head trainer at Studio PP. Steph is a former Winter Olympian and spent 10 years of her life as a professional athlete. Steph’s passion for Pilates stems from a 4 year rehab stint (consisting solidly of corrective exercise and Pilates) following her career ending back injury in 2010. Steph has trained and worked alongside some of Australia’s industry leaders, has 15 years dance experience and is clinically trained. She lives and breathes health, wellness and an active lifestyle and is an embodiment of her brand.
